Desert Springs Hospital Celebrates Go Red for Women

Desert Springs Hospital Medical Center is pleased to partner with the American Heart Association (AHA) for its annual Go Red for Women campaign to fight heart disease on Feb. 4, a national recognition day to celebrate heart disease survivors and raise heart health awareness.
Go Red for Women Activities in the Desert Springs Hospital Lobby (2075 E. Flamingo Road):
- Bake sale to raise money for the American Heart Association from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Free community blood pressure checks from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
- Complimentary chair massages from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Testimonial from a cardiac survivor at 11:30 a.m.
- AHA cardiac care award presentation to Desert Springs Hospital at 11:40 a.m.
- Red carpet fashion show of Desert Springs Hospital employees and physicians
sporting their red attire at 11:45 a.m.
Donations for this event were provided by Desert Springs Hospital employees, the Academy of Healing Arts, Rebel Party Rentals, Mended Hearts Volunteers, Cox Media, Fox 5 KVVU-TV, KJUL-FM, KWNR-FM, 93.1 The Party, Sunny 106.5 and Vegas PBS.
This year Desert Springs Hospital celebrates 40 years of caring in Southern Nevada and the Go Red for Women event is one of the many programs it offers to give back to the local community.
