2009 Women's Hall of Fame

June 22, 2009, Las Vegas, Nevada. The Women's Chamber of Commerce of Nevada is proud to announce that the Fourth Annual Women's Hall of Fame, will take place on Friday, July 17, 2009 at Cili's Restaurant at Bali Hai Golf Course in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event will begin with a champagne reception at 11:15am, sponsored by ABC Publishing with a Raffle Drawing and a Mystery Drawing. The net proceeds will go to the Women's Community Outreach Program and the Women's Endowment Fund given to a women's charity.
The mission of the Women's Hall of Fame is to publicly honor all the nominees and recipients from the ATHENA Awards of 2008 for their achievements and community support and to educate the public to insure the continued achievements of women and young girls in Nevada. All inductees will honor the walls of the Women's Chamber of Commerce of Nevada; appear in the 2009 Alumni Program, on all chamber printed material, publications and will appear on the chambers Women's Hall of Fame web page.
The Women's Hall of Fame adopted a very special award in 2008 the Pioneer Award and the First honor went to Ms. Barbara Wood, of the University of Southern Nevada. This year 2009 we are honoring former Lieutenant Governor and now Commissioner of Tourism, plus owner of The Bootlegger Italian Restaurant, Mrs. Lorraine Hunt-Bono. The Women's Chamber will also Induct five women in leadership and five Young Professionals.
The 2009 Leadership Inductees are Mary Arnold, Founder, President and CEO, Professional Permanent Cosmetics & Tattoo Vanish, Inc., Pamela Howatt, President, Divine Enterprises, LLC, Marla Letizia, President, Big Traffic Mobile Billboards Worldwide, Cindy O'Keefe, VP of Hotel Operations, Caesars Palace, Suzanne Trout, VP of Marketing, Flamingo & Harrah's Las Vegas.
The 2009 Young Professional Inductees are Elisa Shen, Casino Marketing Manager, Caesars Palace, Christina Donaldson, Director of Leadership, Harrah's Entertainment, Jan-Ie Low, General Manager of Satay Asian Grille, Maureen Peckman, Chief Operating Officer, Lou Ruvo Brain Institute, Stacey Wedding, Founder/Principal, Professional in Philanthropy, LLC.
